Attorney Maddux was born in Italy, where her father was actively serving in the United States Military. In 1990, Attorney Maddux's family returned to the Hampton Roads Area, where she was raised and has lived for the majority of her life. She received her Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Christopher Newport University in 2009, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2012.
From 2012 to 2016, while she was an associate at Jones, Blechman, Woltz and Kelly, P.C., Attorney Maddux represented clients in civil litigation, arbitration, and mediation disputes in real estate, creditor's rights, creditor support in bankruptcy, employment, business, trust/estate/tax planning, estate disputes, domestic/divorce and landlord/tenant matters.
Attorney Maddux prides herself on being active in the community. She served as the Vice President of Public Relations for the Direct Marketing Association while a student at Christopher Newport University, and belonged to the Law & Business Program at the University of Virginia School of Law. Since then, she has served multiple terms on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Living Museum and the Newport News Bar Association as well as the Menchville House, and she actively supports the endeavors of the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank. Attorney Maddux was also involved with the Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic in Williamsburg for a period of time. This organization's purpose is to provide legal services and representation, either pro bono or at a reduced rate, to military veterans in financial need.
Attorney Maddux has written blogs and articles, and has prepared and given presentations to large groups on a number of different areas of law including business, copyright, employment, workers' compensation, bankruptcy, and the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Act. As such, Attorney Maddux is experienced in creating and delivering engaging lectures on legal concepts and theories and the effects they have on several aspects of the corporate world and executive positions. Attorney Maddux also taught a Business Law Graduate course at the Florida Institute off Technology in 2016 and remains passionate about the many useful, significant, and powerful changes that people can make in their own lives, as well as the lives of those around them when armed with diverse education.

Attorney Mullen was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Upon graduating from Edward R. Murrow High School, she migrated ‘down south’ to complete her undergraduate studies at North Carolina Central University. After receiving her Baccalaureate Degree in Criminal Justice, Attorney Mullen continued her studies at NCCU’s School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 1997.
Once Attorney Mullen received her J.D., she returned to New York, where she served as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County/Brooklyn. While in New York, Attorney Mullen also served as an attorney for the Board of Education. After serving the city, Attorney Mullen worked as an associate for a few private law firms in Manhattan and in Long Island, where she honed her trial skills defending individuals for major insurance companies in automobile related litigation (also referred to as insurance defense litigation).
In 2004, Attorney Mullen relocated to Virginia and worked as a sole practitioner until 2008. Her focus in private practice was real estate law, business law, contracts, personal injury law and criminal defense.
For the next 10 years, Attorney Mullen served as a prosecutor for the Hampton Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. During her tenure there, she prosecuted all types of criminal offenses ranging from minor law violations to major crimes (ie: robberies and murders). After leaving the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, Attorney Mullen served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Division of Virginia’s Office of the Attorney General in Richmond.
